Kindred Collective Conference
Coming June 2019
Registration has ended for this conference. Stay tuned info on upcoming events.
Our first ever Kindred Conference on March 8th, 2019 was more than we could’ve even imagined. Your feedback about what you walked away with after the conference inspired us so much!
We wanted to offer a homeschool conference from the comfort of your own cozy home. So many of you loved that you could be in your cozy pajamas tuning in without the extra cost of travel, hotels, and the temptation of the exhibit hall!
We might not all homeschool in the same way, but what we do have is a deep desire to connect with other moms that have a passion for home education. And we can’t wait to meet you again!
Currently in the works is the second Kindred Co. online conference—all about planning your homeschool year! Stay tuned for all the details.
In the meantime, if you were unable to attend the March conference, we are happy to offer the replay videos for purchase. Please check out the details!

March Conference Presentations
Lazy Unit Studies: How to embrace those rabbit holes and surrender to delight-driven learning via books, games, and other creative resources
By Caitlin fitzpatrick Curley
Let’s face it: kids are passionate little creatures with a wide range of interests… and those interests can change by the day! It can be challenging to keep up with their every-changing pursuits.
As homeschool mamas, we know the value of following a child's lead. We have all witnessed the incredible learning that happens when you embrace a current passion and follow those rabbit holes. And as much as we’d love to fully immerse ourselves in sharks, or Greek mythology, or candle making, or Shakespeare for weeks on end, we all know that these passions and interests come and go. We’ve all experienced the agony of working tirelessly to create a unit study, only to have a child turn her nose up at it because she’s moved on.
Cait shares the art of the Lazy Unit Study. She will show you how to identify current areas of passion and how to brainstorm, plan, execute and document super-simple, super-fun unit studies. The goal of this session is more joy, and less overwhelm!
The Art of the Kelly List: Help for the Overwhelmed homeschool Mom
by Alicia Hutchinson
We’ve all been there: late to the dentist appointment, 5-year-old throwing a tantrum on the floor, two hours till dinner without one clue what to make. Not to mention the unfinished math assignments sprinkled across the table.
You are overwhelmed and you probably don’t even know where to begin, right?
In this session, Alicia will help you break down your day and pinpoint exactly where you might be trying to do too much. From there, she’ll help you focus in on your most important tasks of the day. And she’ll share how her mom, Kelly, taught her to simplify her busiest days into an organized, sensible list: The Kelly List. Her aim is for you to leave this session feeling lighter, more in control of your day, and much less overwhelmed!
When your homeschool begins to grow up: lets talk about the middle school years
By Mary Wilson
When my oldest child entered middle school, I was completely unprepared for the change that happened in our homeschool. Someone handed me a front row seat to an emotional roller coaster that I had not purchased a ticket to ride. What on earth was going on?
I realized that I wasn’t handling it well so I began to search for a better way to approach this shift. I am happy to report that we found our way through her middle school years. I learned how to change and adapt my responses and expectations so that we could experience more joy and harmony in the middle years.
Yes. It is possible.
My first child taught me well and I applied these lessons to our homeschool as my second and third children entered middle school. While nothing is failproof, I am excited to share some of the ideas, resources, and tips I learned over the last several years. I know you are going to leave this session feeling inspired to embrace the middle school years while knowing you aren’t alone in the struggle.
Relationships First (They are the key to everything)
BY Kara Anderson
As homeschooling parents, we take on so much responsibility – it can feel overwhelming.
But if we remember to keep relationships at the forefront, we can cover a lot of ground. There are always options for teaching math differently, or helping a struggling reader, but a broken connection with your child is so much harder to fix.
Speaking from her years of experience homeschooling her children, and her time as a blogger and podcaster, Kara will inspire parents with real-life examples and practical tips.
The schedule for the June conference will be announced soon!
Early Bird: $25
Regular Price: $32
We are so excited to showcase some of our favorite homeschool companies and resources at the Kindred Co. conference. Each participant that attends a Kindred Co. Conference will receive a virtual swag bag on the day of the conference filled with freebies and downloads you can start using in your homeschool right way.
Who is this conference for?
This conference is designed to support and encourage homeschooling parents.
It doesn’t matter if you are new to homeschooling or a homeschool veteran, you are welcome here. You are welcome to come with your unschooling, Charlotte Mason, or classical style of teaching. Everyone will find encouragement, inspiration, and ideas to implement in their homeschool.
Do participants have to be there all day?
We know that your lives are busy. You certainly have permission to plan a teacher work day on conference day so you can join us for the entire day, but we realize that isn’t always possible. You are welcome to join us for one or all online conference sessions. Replays will be available for all participants to access after the conference is over.
What is required for attendance?
Participants must register and pay for the conference through the registration links. The only items you are required to have on the day of the conference are a good internet connection and a computer, laptop, or tablet so you can view the sessions online. We also suggest your bullet journal (or any kind of journal), a cup of hot tea or coffee, some chocolate, and any of your own ideas or questions.
What’s included with my purchase?
You will be invited to a full day of conference events including four sessions designed to support and inspire you. Your day will end with a fifth session focused on answering all of your homeschool questions. You will also receive a swag bag from our sponsors filled with coupons and other freebies.
Will there be replays of the presentations?
Yes there will. We certainly don’t want you to miss a single moment even if you aren’t able to be there live.
Cancellations + Refunds:
The digital nature of this event allows us to make all replays available to you post conference. Even if you can’t attend live, you won’t miss a thing. Because of this, there are no refunds or cancellations. Please consider your schedule and time commitment before registering for this event.
We can’t wait for you to join us!
